Introduction To Collections Management

Session I will address core issues on how to care for one’s own collections within an institution.  It will examine how a society determines what is of value and worth preserving, and provide an overview of the museum profession, including differentiating types of collections and museums.  It will address essential collections management concepts, principles and techniques as well as registration methods.
